Farmhouse-style cup hanger☕️
For a rustic-looking kitchen
Hey friend,
If there is something I will never give up on, it’s having my early morning coffee…
I simply love sitting on my couch sipping a hot cup of coffee contemplating my modern rustic living room…
And the other day while reaching for my cup I had a funny idea on how to make a super cozy-looking coffee cup hanger!
So I did it, and wow…
Take a look below:
I‘ve put this up in my kitchen and it just makes my coffee taste more… rustic!
Anyway, let’s see how to build one, shall we?
Materials Needed
Wooden Plank: Choose a plank of your desired size and type of wood. (I’d suggest an old piece of wood for that rustic look)
Hooks: Depending on the number of cups you want to hang, get corresponding hooks.
Screws: For attaching the hooks and mounting the plank.
Drill: To make holes for screws.
Sandpaper: For smoothing the wood.
Paint or Stain: Optional, for finishing the wood.
Varnish or Wood Sealer: To protect the finished product.
Measuring Tape and Pencil: For accurate placement of hooks.
Wall Anchors or Stud Finder: For secure mounting on the wall.
Step-by-step guide
Step #1 — Prepare the Wood: sand, paint & coat the piece of wood you have just chosen.
Step #2 — Mark and Drill: use a measuring tape and pencil to mark where you want to place the hooks. Ensure they are evenly spaced and then drill small pilot holes on these marks for the screws.
Step #3 — Attach the Hooks: Screw the hooks into the pilot holes. Make sure they are tightly secured.
Step #4 — Mount the Hanger: Choose the spot on the wall where you want to mount the hanger. If you’re mounting into drywall and not directly into studs, use wall anchors for added stability. Then drill holes in the wall, insert the wall anchors (if needed), and then screw the plank onto the wall.
And there we have it!
You won’t believe it, but yesterday I sent a picture of it to my sister and the first thing she did was ask me where I bought it…
And I replied: "BOUGHT IT?! I did it and it took me only 30 minutes!”
I wish I could take that back…
She called me 27 seconds later asking me to do one for her too!
So I guess I’ll go build hers now…
Been a pleasure as always my friend,
Don’t forget to let me know how yours turned out!
