Top 3 must-have rustic elements

Dear friend,

There are a lot of ways to give our home that cozy farmhouse vibe.

But my favorite one is mixing antique elements with modern ones.

Just take a closer look at this image for example:

Instead of using a standard vase for your flowers or greenery, try using something unexpected and vintage — like this old flour sifter.

Incorporating the old and using it in a practical sense makes a huge difference in adding that FarmHouse style.

Or take this for example:

Instead of using a modern & conventional bookshelf, I used a rustic wooden ladder.

Why? Because it looks way more cozy!

(And that’s what we want, right?!)

Actually, let me share with you my favorite 3 elements to mix to instantly get that rustic look:

#1 - Rustic & Modern Furniture: Mix a new, modern sofa with an antique wooden coffee table or sideboard. Look for rustic finishes on new pieces or modern lines on old ones to bridge the styles.

#2 - Lighting: Combine modern LED lighting technology in lamps with a vintage design, or install new light fixtures that have a retro appearance.

#3 - Contemporary Art in Antique Frames: Mix modern art prints or canvases with ornate, vintage frames to create an interesting contrast.

I personally love blending vintage, rustic elements with modern ones because the outcome is always the same…
